Adriana María Urrea Restrepo
(Bogotá, Colombia, 1956) Professor and researcher, with a training in philosophy. She has combined her academic life with her work in the cultural sphere of arts and publishing, both in the public and private sectors. Adriana has developed her theoretical work in the field of aesthetics and poetics, with an emphasis on Caribbean poetics, the philosophy of art, the living arts, and the relationship between philosophy and literature, particularly in the poetics of Roberto Burgos Cantor. She has been a member of Mapa Teatro since 1986. Adriana Urrea is a professor in the Masters Program in Theater and Living Arts at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia in Bogotá, Barranquilla and Cali; in the Faculty of Philosophy at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, and in the Department of Literary Creation at the Universidad Central.
