Esteban King Álvarez

(Mexico City, 1986) Researcher and curator of modern and contemporary art. His work explores the connections between the visual arts, literature, and experimental music. He holds a BA in History with an MA in Art History from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). From 2012 to 2015, he was curator and head of research at the Museo Universitario del Chopo; from 2015 to 2019, curator at ESPAC (Espacio de Arte Contemporáneo), and in 2020, he was part of the curatorial team of the 14th FEMSA Biennial: Inestimable Azar. He was a fellow of the Young Creators award in the Essay category. He currently is a professor at the Universidad Iberoamericana and is pursuing a PhD in Art History at UNAM.
