Ericka Flórez

(Cali, Colombia, 1983) Artist, editor, and curator. She studied Psychology and then specialized in History and Theory of Modern and Contemporary Art. She co-founded La Nocturna, an experimental platform for discursive and pedagogical formats. She also co-founded La casa en el aire, a space for rehearsing transdisciplinary forms of teaching children through art. Her danceable lectures have been presented in diverse venues in Colombia, Mexico, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Spain, and China. Flórez has curated exhibitions in Colombia, including the 14th Regional Artists Salon—Pacific Chapter—together with Juan Sebastián Ramírez, and the 2016 ARTBO referents section together with Pablo León de la Barra. She has authored books such as El blanco móvil, Hegelian Dancers, and Ficciones operativas—all published in Colombia. Essays and articles of hers have been published in media such as the Guggenheim USB Global Map Art Initiative, Terremoto, and in A* desk Critical Thinking.
