Felipe Corvalán Tapia

(Santiago de Chile, 1982) Architect, scholar and professor. He holds a degree in Architecture (2006) and a Master’s degree in Theory and History of Art (2012), both from the University of Chile. He holds a PhD in Theory and History of Architecture from ETSAB, Polytechnic University of Catalonia (2020). In 2014, he obtained the Santander Young Researchers Scholarship, and in 2015, the Chile CONICYT Scholarship to pursue doctoral studies abroad. Felipe Corvalán Tapia is a scholar at the Department of Architecture of the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of the University of Chile. He teaches in the areas of theory, history, and criticism of architecture, both in undergraduate and graduate programs. His main research areas are architectural representation, theory and criticism of architecture, and the relationship between art and public space.
