Luiza Proença

(São Paulo, Brazil, 1985) Curator, writer and researcher. Her focus is on artistic practices and institutions and their respective forms of resistance in the social and environmental field, from a transdisciplinary point of view. She was assistant curator of The Insides Are on the Outside (2011-2013), an art exhibition at Lina Bo Bardi's former residence “Casa de Vidro”, and curator of exhibitions, mediation, and public programs at Museu de Arte de São Paulo (2015-2017), where, among numerous projects, she co-organized the book Concrete and Crystal: MASP’s Collection on Lina Bo Bardi's Easels (2015). She was also part of the curatorial teams of bauhaus imaginista (2017-2019); How (…) things that don’t exist – 31st Bienal de São Paulo (2014); and Weather Permitting – 9th Bienal do Mercosul, Porto Alegre (2013).
