Guilherme Bento Lago Queiroz

(Coimbra, Portugal, 1992) Public health doctor at ACES Baixo Vouga. He develops work in the field of planetary health and social justice, with participations at the Institute of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine of the Universidade Nova de Lisboa, the National School of Public Health in Portugal, ISGlobal Barcelona, and the Amazonas Health Surveillance Foundation. He did research and training work in Brazil, Guinea-Bissau, and São Tomé and Príncipe. Guilherme Queiroz is part of the Drepacomunidade, a Portuguese-speaking network to raise awareness of sickle cell disease. He coordinated the Conversa+Pública podcast between 2021 and 2022. He curated the exhibition A Place of Resistance: Art made in Portuguese Psychiatric Hospitals for the World Congress of Psychiatry 2019. Since 2010, he has also collaborated with Rádio Universidade de Coimbra, which he directed in 2014 and 2016, making activities linked to music, arts and science.
