Félix Suazo
(Havana, Cuba, 1966) Professor, art critic, researcher, and curator. He graduated from the Instituto Superior de Arte de La Habana (1990). He completed a Master's degree in Museology at the University of Valladolid (Spain, 2003). He has worked as a researcher at the Galería de Arte Nacional (GAN, 1997-2003) and the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Caracas (2004-2008). From 2008 to 2013, he was exhibitions coordinator and curator at Periférico Caracas / Arte Contemporáneo. From 2015 to 2018, he acted as Manager of the Sala TAC at the Trasnocho Cultural Foundation in Caracas. Since 2007, he has been a member of the curatorial team of El Anexo / Arte Contemporáneo. In 2018, he was appointed pedagogical curator of the XIV Biennial of Cuenca, Ecuador. He has authored the books A diestra y siniestra. Comentarios sobre Arte y Política (2005), Umbrales. Museo, Curaduría, Investigación (2013), and Panorámica. Arte Emergente en Venezuela, 2000-2012 (2014). He currently resides in Miami, USA, where he is co-editor of the newsletter "About Images" edited by Art Media Gallery, and works as a curator and advisor for art projects.
