Michele Albanelli

(Rome, Italy, 1983) Architect and professor. He combines his professional and academic activities, driven by his interests and lines of research in various fields such as education, learning, and play. Materials and technology are cross-cutting areas that define for him the idea of architecture as the shape of relationships. He graduated from the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Rome "La Sapienza." He has a Master of Arts in Advanced Architectural Design from the Städelschule Architecture Class in Frankfurt am Main, where he received the Gunther Bock Prize (2008). He currently teaches at the Faculty of Architecture of the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP) and is an atelierista of Design, Architecture and City at the Aleph School, a school recognized for its experimental trajectory in the field of pedagogy. As a researcher, he published the book Espacios de aprendizaje (Editorial UPC, Lima, 2021), as well as other writings in architectural journals. He is co-director of DIADIA Arquitectura. In 2019, he co-founded the associated studio PlanA with Jorge Losada and Mario Ricci. The studio is devoted to the conception and development of complex projects and programs, with an emphasis on learning spaces.
