Susan Rocha

(Quito, Ecuador, 1976). Curator, art historian and art critic. First Prize in Research in Arts and Architecture Central University of Ecuador (2022). First Mention in the José María Lequerica Municipal History Award (2021). Winner of Senior Research Funds from the Central University of Ecuador. She currently serves as director of the Integrated System of Museums and Herbariums of the Central University of Ecuador and as a professor of art and aesthetics at the same institution. She has a Master's Degree in Andean History, DEA Diploma of Advanced Studies in Aesthetics, values and culture, and a Diploma in Art Studies, Bachelor of Fine Arts. She is co-creator of the critical writing space Paralaje.xyz. She has worked as research director and curator for several museums such as the Central Bank of Ecuador, the Contemporary Art Center CAC and the Camilo Egas Museum, and as an independent consultant in other museum projects. She has authored various publications on art criticism and history, as well as several catalogs and articles. She has curated exhibitions such as Mauricio Bueno, Horizontes variables; Jaime Andrade Moscoso (1925-1989); María José Artenzio: Presentes Transtemporales; Testimonia Rock, among others.
