Ana Clara Simões Lopes

(Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, 1996) Curator, writer and researcher based in Rio de Janeiro. She holds a BA in Art History from the Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (UERJ). Ana Clara is interested in radical artistic and institutional practices, especially those focused on the traces and gaps left by the alleged historiographic construction. She currently works as a curator at the Instituto Solar dos Abacaxis and is assistant curator of the Bienal das Amazônias. Ana Clara curated the 9th edition of the Prêmio Foco ArtRio (ArtRio, Rio de Janeiro, 2022). She was also part of the curatorial teams of the exhibitions FARSA. Língua, fratura, ficção: Brasil-Portugal (SESC Pompéia, São Paulo, 2020) and Miriam Inez da Silva (Museu Nacional da República, Brasília, 2022). She collaborated as a researcher in the exhibition À Nordeste (SESC 24 de Maio, 2019).
