Rigel García
(Caracas, Venezuela, 1977) Researcher. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Universidad Central de Venezuela (UCV) and a Master's degree in Art History from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). Between 2004 and 2022, she worked as a researcher at the Museo de Bellas Artes in Caracas. Previously, she worked at the Visual Arts Department of the Consejo Nacional de la Cultura, coordinating activities to support the presence of Venezuelan artists in exhibitions and other events. She currently contributes to the 'ArchivoAbierto [revisiones]' program, carried forth by Abra gallery in Caracas. She has participated in institutional and independent projects in the areas of curatorship, documentary research, heritage documentation, and exhibition writing.
