Cayo Honorato

(Goiânia, Brazil, 1979) Researcher and professor based in Brasilia, Brazil. He is an adjunct professor in the Department of Visual Arts (VIS) of the Institute of Arts (IdA) of the University of Brasilia (UnB), in the area of History and Theory of Education in Visual Arts. There, he conducts research on audience performance and cultural mediation in the context of the relationships between art and education; the conjunctions and disjunctions between art and education; the relations between art, education, and politics. He holds a PhD in Education, in the line of Philosophy and Education, from the University of São Paulo (USP) and a Master's Degree in Education, in the line of Culture and Educational Processes, from the Federal University of Goiás (UFG). He has been part of the Another Roadmap for Arts Education network since 2015. He has been a research associate at the Centre for the Study of Network Imaging (CSNI) at London South Bank University (LSBU) since 2018, where he did a postdoctoral internship. In 2021, he served as a consultant for the educational program of the Museu Nacional da República, in Brasilia, which took over the floors as cultural mediation.
