Marialejandra Maza

(Caracas, Venezuela, 1974) Researcher, cultural manager, and educator. As a curator, she specializes management of contemporary art collections and archives. She has a degree in Fine Arts and is currently a PhD student in Cultural Heritage. For more than 20 years, she has worked in museum institutions, galleries, educational centers, art collections, and artists' archives. Since 2000, she is the director and founder of Grupo artEncontrado, a platform dedicated to the study of contemporary art archives. She has worked as a visual arts content curator in educational centers in Chile, Peru, and Venezuela. She currently teaches at the Escuela de Arte Corriente Alterna in Lima, Peru, where she is based since 2017. She continues to work with private collections, artists' archives, and exhibition projects.
