Sebastián Vidal Mackinson
(Buenos Aires, Argentina, 1977) Curator and researcher of contemporary art. He is a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Buenos Aires and is currently pursuing a PhD in History at the Institute for Higher Social Studies of the National University of San Martín. He has worked as a curator at the Museo de Artes Plásticas "Eduardo Sívori" (2017-2021). Previously, he was part of the curatorial team of the Buenos Aires Museum of Modern Art (2016-2017). He received the "Profession Culture" scholarship as a researcher of Latin American art at the Institute Recherche et Globalisation (Centre Pompidou, 2013), and the Jumex - Independent Curators International (Mexico City, 2014). He won the arteBA Young Curators Program 2015 with Europa. Among several exhibitions, he has curated Oasis. Afinidades conocidas e insospechadas en un recorrido por la producción artística de nuestro tiempo, together with Lara Marmor and Federico Baeza (DIXIT, arteBA 2016); Los días siguen llegando (Isla Flotante, 2016); Hablo lo que digo (Mite, 2016); Hacer con lo hecho (MMAM, Cuenca, Ecuador, 2015). Since 2017, he is a professor in the Curatorship course at the National University of the Arts (Argentina).
