Laura Uribe

(Mexico City, Mexico, 1984) Stage director, playwright, actress, stage researcher, and educator. She holds a degree in Theater from the Escuela Nacional de Arte Teatral of INBAL. Fellow of the Sistema Nacional de Creadores de Arte, in the discipline of dramaturgy, from the Sistema de Apoyos a la Creación y a Proyectos Culturales (FONCA-2021-2024). She is co-founder of L.A.S. [Laboratorio de Artistas Sostenibles] together with Sabina Aldana. Her work is characterized for experimenting in the contemporary scene with a transdisciplinary and documentary approach, attending to a liminal dimension between the intimate micro-political sphere and the macro-political sphere. She is a professor at the School of Theater, Dance, and Music of the Universidad Autónoma de Morelos, in the degree in Theater and Dance. Her productions have participated in national and state theater shows, as well as in national and international festivals, where she has also taught laboratories and workshops of scenic experimentation (Germany, Spain, Italy, Denmark, France, Chile, and Colombia).
