Patricio Dalgo Toledo
(Quito, Ecuador, 1980) Multimedia artist, noise-maker and experimental educator. He retains a fertile curiosity and doubt in almost everything, which allows him to make intense observations of the surrounding world and its perceptive languages (visual, sound, tactile, etc.), reformulating this information from his imagination. Concepts involving electromechanical artifacts, sound and image projection, exploring transversal relationships that find an echo between the viewer's experiences and the proposed unknowns are of primary interest in his work. Much of his research revolves around concepts such as play, improvisation, interference, failure, alteration. Precariousness as a possibility, recycling and reusing as resources; he emphasizes noise as an extramusical and prelinguistic manifestation, as well as a disruptive and creative power.
