Nicolás Paris

(Bogotá, Colombia, 1977) Artist. His work is closely linked to questions about collective learning. His work method, based mainly on dialogue, incomplete architecture, and the act of drawing and cultivating, seeks to build environments for exchange, the production of reflections, and finding new ways of being together. Since the beginning of 2017, he founded the Institute for Radical Learning (InPAR): a place to mobilize collaborative processes and facilitate the activation of study groups. Solo exhibitions include: ko nga herenga kei waenga i a tatou, lo que nos une, what connects us (GovettBrewster Art Gallery, New Plymouth, New Zealand, 2019); Exercises for sowing lightning (CaixaForum, Barcelona, Spain, 2017); Petricor (NC Arte, Bogotá, 2016); Four variations of nothing or talk about that which has no name (Berardo Collection Museum, Lisbon, Portugal, 2015-2016); Room for us (Kadist Art Foundation, Paris, France, 2013), among others. He has participated in group exhibitions in museums and institutions such as: Times Museum (Guangzhou, 2019-2020); El Museo Del Barrio (New York); MACBA (Barcelona); Cobra Museum of Modern Art (Amstelveen); Forum Eugénio de Almeida (Evora); Galería Abierta (project in public spaces of Mexico City); among others. He lives and works in Bogotá.
