José Luis García Nava

(Mexico City, 1969) Digital audiovisual media artist since 1989. He is also an industrial engineer, graduated with honors from the Faculty of Engineering of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (1992), and a Doctor of Science in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Computer Systems from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolás de Hidalgo (2018). He is a pioneer in Mexico in the use of interactive digital audiovisuals, especially in interdisciplinary and performing arts projects. His work has been presented at various national and international festivals in the Americas, Europe, Asia, and Oceania, adding up to more than 220 presentations with various music, dance, theater, and interdisciplinary projects, since 2004 to date. He is the artistic creator of the 2006 and 2010 editions of the Sistema Nacional de Creadores de Arte. He is the artistic director of the group Trauma Interdisciplina.
