(Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, 1988) Transdisciplinary artist, educator and independent curator. She holds a Master’s degree in Visual Arts from the Universidade Federal de Pelotas and Bachelor’s degree in Performing Arts from the Universidade Federal do Estado do Rio de Janeiro. She has carried out performance, photography, video, and sound art projects. Renata is interested in issues related to race and gender, territory and intimacy, and how these three key aspects inform art and education. She was one of the curators of the first edition of the Rio International Arts Festival. Renata has 17 years of experience in the field of art education, working in various cultural spaces and museums in Brazil. She was education coordinator of the 11th and 12th editions of the Mercosul Biennial and of the the 3rd edition of Frestas - Triennial of the Arts. Currently, she is the manager of education and participation at the Museu de Arte Moderna do Rio de Janeiro, where she is responsible for the workshops, residencies, and exhibitions mediation programs.
