Débora Oelsner Lopes

(São Paulo, Brazil, 1982) Researcher, professor, and architect. She is currently working towards her doctoral research at the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro (UNIRIO) on theatrical practice and teaching as a common work of art, based on the works of Martim Gonçalves and Helio Eichbauer, an important partnership for the modern and tropicalist Brazilian theater. She holds a Master’s degree from UNIRIO (2015) and a degree in Architecture and Urbanism from the University of São Paulo (2009). She is a collaborating-researcher at the Martim Gonçalves Institute and was a student of Eichbauer (2011-2015) in his open courses at the Escola de Artes Visuais do Parque Lage (EAV) and at the Espaço Tom Jobim (Jardim Botánico-RJ). She was a professor on the Scenography Course at UNIRIO (2014-2016 and 2018-2019) and taught at private schools of Architecture and Urbanism in Rio de Janeiro (2016-2017). She develops works in graphic arts, performing arts, and visual arts, standing out her role as resident educator at the EAV in the project O Nome do Medo (2016-2017), by the artist Rivane Neuenschwander, curated by Lisette Lagnado.
