Jessica Briceño Cisneros

(Caracas, Venezuela, 1988) Visual artist, sculptor, and educator. She holds a BA in Visual Arts and an MA in Theory and History of Art from the University of Chile. Her work questions the notions of monumentality, water architecture, belonging, and Latin Americanism through sculpture, photography, and performance. She teaches courses on sculpture and project development at the University of Chile. She was artist-in-residence at Sculpture Space (NY), Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture (MA), and FabLab (SCL). Her work is part of collections in Chile and abroad. Her most recent project, Libélula Island (2021), was presented at Proyecto N.A.S.A.L., in Mexico City. She lives and works in Santiago, Chile.
