Julian Dupont

(Popayán, Colombia, 1985) Artist and researcher. He works on the question for a new resolution of artificiality from Abya-Yala's perspectivism, articulating his practice as resonance and play in a cosmomorphic key. He is a graduate of the MA in Philosophy, Art and Social Thought at EGS University, with Catherine Malabou as thesis director. He is currently conducting the pedagogical innovation module 'The Schizo-Shamanic Alliances' at the Universidad Autónoma Indígena Intercultural del Consejo Regional Indígena del Cauca (UAIIN-CRIC) in Popayán, in alliance with the ArTeC research school of the Paris 8 University. His exhibitions include shows such as: Dreaming the Pluriverse (Cité International des Arts, París, 2022); UUS YAHTX, with the participation of the Indigenous Guard of the CRIC (Popayán, 2018); and group shows such as The Council of Dreams, curated by Nicolle L'HuiIIier & Enrique Rivera (15th Biennial of Medial Arts, Santiago, Chile); Artifacts, curated by Barbara Krulik & Mildred Durán (Casa Hoffmann, 2021); Magical Operations (Wildpalms, Düsseldorf, 2021); The Long Minute, curated by Bronwyn Lace (The Center for the Less Good Idea, South Africa, 2020), and When Poisons are Bitter, curated by Helena Producciones (ARTBO, Colombia, 2019).
