Gustavo Ciríaco

(Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, 1969) Performing and contextual artist. Over the years, he has developed a multiform body of works encompassing visual theater and conceptual dance, live exhibitions, and in situ works. In them, architecture, visual, and performing arts meet in performances marked by a shared sensitivity and reconfigurations of the experience of the real. His work has been invited to festivals, galleries, museums, and art and educational institutions in Latin America, Europe, the United States, and, more recently, Asia and the Middle East. Notable participations include Festival Panorama de Dança, Atos de Fala, Tempo Festival, CCBB, Oi Futuro, SESC-RJ (Rio de Janeiro); SESC-SP, CCSP, Itaú Cultural (Brazil); Alkantara, Teatro Nacional Dona Maria II, Museu Berardo, Culturgest and ZDB (Lisbon); Arqueologías del Futuro, Constelaciones (Buenos Aires); Battersea Arts Centre, Laban Centre, Chelsea Theatre (London), Museu Serralves, Teatro Rivoli (Porto), among others.
