Emilio De la Cerda Errázuriz

(Santiago, Chile, 1978) Architect and professor. He holds a degree from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, and a master's degree (2006) from the same university, where he is also a professor at the School of Architecture since 2007. In his professional practice, as a partner of the firm OWAR Arquitectos as well as independently, he has developed public and private projects, which have been published in various specialized media and exhibited in different disciplinary instances. He is co-author of the Quinta Monroy project in Iquique, the first housing complex developed by the ELEMENTAL initiative. Between 2011 and 2014, he served as executive secretary of the Council of National Monuments of Chile. Between 2014 and 2018, he acted as director of the School of Architecture of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Between 2018 and 2022, he was deputy secretary of Cultural Heritage at the Ministry of Cultures, Arts and Heritage, in addition to serving as president of the Council of National Monuments of Chile. He currently chairs the Cultural Heritage Department of the Catholic University of Chile.
