Brian Smith Hudson

(Santiago, Chile, 1984) Researcher. He is a PhD candidate in Art History from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (FFyL-UNAM), with a master's degree in Art Studies (Ibero). He is a member of the permanent seminary of Performance and Stage Studies (UNAM). Among his research interests are the links between art, politics, and artistic activism in Latin America, during the 1960s to the 1980s, and from 1990 onwards, especially in Chile, Argentina, and Mexico. He co-edited the books Arte Acción en México. Registros y Residuos (Editorial MUAC-UNAM, 2019); La Escena Inquieta. Teatro Político Metropolitano de la época del sesenta en Chile (Editorial A89, 2018); Performance art en Chile. Historia, procesos y actualidad (Editorial Metales Pesados, 2016), among others. Currently, he co-manages the cultural space Casa Museo Delia del Carril, together with the Centro de Pensamiento Crítico Latinoamericano La Hormiguita.
