Albor Arquitectos
(Cienfuegos, Cuba, 2011) Architecture studio. Founded by Carlos Manuel González Baute and Alain Rodríguez Sosa, joined by Camilo José Cabrera Pérez and Merlyn González García in 2016 and 2017, respectively. Albor is the result of the association of a group of young architects who share an interest in architecture and creative production, assuming it with special attention to the processual and investigative. Their work includes projects of various scales, ranging from urban design and planning to the construction of small architectural works and furniture design. Albor has won numerous national and international recognitions, including a participation in the Havana Biennial in 2019. They were shortlisted among the Best New Architectural Practices of 2021 by the ArchDaily platform, and won 2nd place in ArchDaily's 2022 Work of the Year Award with their work Casa Torre. In 2022, their work El Apartamento won the Panorama de Obras award at the 12th Iberoamerican Biennial of Architecture and Urban Design.
