Juan Carlos Jiménez

(Mexico City, 1981) Art historian, researcher and curator. He holds an MA in Art History from the University of Morelia, with studies in Psychology from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and the Intercontinental University (UIC). He has oriented his work towards research and management in local art scenes, artistic practices in public space, the tensions between historiographic revisionism and curatorship and, more recently, interdisciplinary dialogues between environmental sciences and artistic production. He has been local curator at the 14th FEMSA Biennial, director of the Alfredo Zalce Museum of Contemporary Art, tutor of artistic research projects at the Uberbau-haus platform (São Paulo, Brazil), university professor in public and private institutions, as well as independent critic and editor.
